I am currently in my 27th year of public education with Johnsonville High School. Through these years I have taught special education and 1st grade and I am currently the Exceptional Needs Instructor for JHS. After graduating from Johnsonville High School, I attended Columbia College and received my Bachelor's degree in Special Education. Furthering my education, I received a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with an Elementary Endorsement from Coastal Carolina University. I have also obtained an additional Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina University. I am a National Board Certified teacher in the area of Exceptional Needs Specialist. I also hold a certification through South Carolina State Department of Education as a Literacy Coach and Literacy Teacher. 

I have 3 children, two who are also proud alumni of Johnsonville High School. I have always lived in the area and Johnsonville is home for me and my family. Time away from school is spent with my family, relaxing at the beach, crafting, listening to music or enjoying a good book!
